SIWA and Diplomatic Community Bazaar
Bazaar Date: November 5, Tuesday, 2013
The SIWA and Diplomatic Community Bazaar is the largest international fundraising event in Seoul. Embassies from over 40 nations, women¡¯s clubs, welfare organizations, vendors, local and international sponsors and countless volunteers come together to sell unique products, foods and craft from around the world. It is recognised as the leading opportunity for the expat community and Korean nationals to meet and mingle, while shopping for a good cause.
The Bazaar has been held by SIWA since 1970 and it has raised more than two billion Korean Won to date, for those in desperate need of our help. The diplomatic and business communities, as well as the Korean Government, work together with SIWA to raise these much-needed funds, allowing us to support a wide range of South Korean Charities. Over 5000 people attend the Bazaar at the Seoul Museum of History in 2012
The aroma of exotic dishes emanating from the International Food Court at lunchtime, the sights and sounds of the many participating nations sharing their culture and crafts; exciting prizes to win when buying tickets for the instant Lucky Draw and Grand Raffle; and, most of all, the many generous hearts that join us in supporting the community in which we live, make the SIWA and Diplomatic Community Bazaar a special day for everyone!
